This video is good, but not good enough. We need to hold quarterly exhibitions of LTTE's crimes against the people of Sri Lanka. However gruesome it is, we need to show what LTTE did to people in Kebithigollewa etc. May a permanent museum in Colombo dedicated to LTTE's crimes can help the cause.

from toiletnet.

"Full text of the "Dawn" article follows:

THERE are signs that the international community is gearing up for action to hold Sri Lanka accountable for alleged war crimes committed by its forces at the end of the brutal civil war against the Tamil Tiger rebels in 2009.

A resolution is being prepared for next month’s session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva and Pakistan, where the Sri Lankan president begins a three-day visit today, should not stand in the way of justice for tens of thousands of minority Tamils who perished."

so it is now in the open.

they are targeting all SENSIBLE nations.

we have to approach ALL UNHRC members and canvass for support.

if ALL islamic nations support us we are through.

agree with sam.

we need a section of the colombo museum dedicated to LTTE violence.

with people's memory spanning only 2 weeks, enemies can make use of this.

war in syria is to enter a decisive phase.

"The regime of Bashar al-Assad in Syria is expecting up to 15,000 Iranian troops to help maintain order in the country’s provinces, a Chinese newspaper reports. Iran has yet to confirm or deny the news.

According to the central Chinese daily Renmin Ribao, the Iranian special task troops are due to be deployed in Syria’s key provinces.
The Syrian opposition announced earlier that commander of Iran’s elite Quds Force, Qassem Suleimani, advises the Syrian authorities on quashing the country’s opposition movement, the Telegraph newspaper reports."

from RT

this is a security threat to israel.

however, from the anti-west pov it is a BOLD decision by iran and syria to SCREW all UK funded terrorists in syria while keeping israel in toes.

Syria has a right to defend her self against the fundamentalist inspired armed insurgency similar to our tiger insurgency where the terrorists hid behind women and children to get the sympathies of the stupid bleeding hearts.
E news is out of order to state that MR is trying to send the army group responsible for VP to help the ousted Maldivian President. They are treacherous to announce this if true,as it put our brave troopers in harms way from the meddling IC.

Chaps, not only do we need to get our friends in UNHRC to vote down this diabolical 'love terrorists, hate Sri Lanka' resolution floated by weenies in US state dept., but bring forward an alternate resolution commending us for rebuilding the country successfully so fast after such a horrendous conflict. That will set their asses on fire!

Cheers!

Ranil exposed setting-up UNHCR against Lanka

In what is by all indications a pre-emptive strike to prejudice the UNHRC (UN Human Rights Commission) against Sri Lanka before deliberations start in March, opposition leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has launched a media blitz picking holes in the LLRC (Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission) report. Our sources in the UNP meanwhile confirm that Wickremesinghe’s strategy in timing the statement is precisely to set the UNHRC membership against the country.
Most of his positions (some elaborated here) will be disadvantageous to Sri Lanka at the UNHRC sessions, such as the seemingly calculated claim in the statement, ‘We also note the failure to consider the Report of the UN Panel of Experts. The publication of the UN Report resulted in the Government taking the stance that the Commission Report will deal with the issues relating to accountability and human rights. The Commission Report’s failure leaves large areas of the UN Report unanswered.’

However the LLRC deals precisely with areas that the UN Report deals with such as disappearances, indicating Wickremesinghe has ulterior motives to mislead the UNHCR, which is already to some extent prejudiced against Sri Lanka due to misled input from some member nations.

Muddy waters
Wickremesinghe also is obviously guided by prejudicial NGO reports coming from largely foreign funded and discredited NGO organizations such as the Centre for Policy Alternatives, which are cited in Wickremesighe’s lengthy media statement.

‘No meaningful steps were taken to investigate the deaths and disappearances of the civilians which were reported to the relevant authorities together with credible information. Therefore, the Government must further appoint the several Independent Committees recommended by LLRC to conduct further investigations,’ Wickremesighe claims, ignoring the fact that measures have already been taken to work through the Attorney General’s Department to collect evidence with a view to appointing just such investigative bodies.

This obvious disregard for steps that have already been taken – just a few months after the LLRC report was released — according to most independent observers, is a pre-emptive strike taken by Wickremesinghe to muddy the waters at the forthcoming UNHCR sessions against Sri Lanka.

Prejudice
‘The Commission has also failed to adequately inquire into the reasons as to why the Government failed to properly estimate the number of persons who would be confined to camps and trapped in No-Fire Zones. It is also observed that there has been inadequate preparation to accommodate the civilians fleeing the No-Fire Zone in the last week of the war but the Commission failed to examine the Government’s preparedness for such a consequence,’ states Wickremesinghe. Thereby, according to independent observers, he is calculating to prejudice and set the UNHCR against the country, by inferring that the state had ample time to ‘make preparations’ but did not do so. However, the war situation made elaborate preparations quite impossible.
